We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our team at General Motors. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for motivating and guiding direct reports and business partners through effective communication, training, coaching, development, recognition, and supervision.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Identify opportunities for improvement using tools such as layered audits and implement corrective actions to achieve Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost key performance indicators.
  • Cultivate a safety culture and implement and enforce workplace safety rules and policies.
  • Implement GMS and lean principles to drive operational excellence.
  • Model GM's cultural behaviors and demonstrate the highest level of integrity at all times.
  • Maintain good working relationships and communicate effectively with employees, union representatives, and management team.
  • Evaluate team performance and promote continuous improvement.
  • Achieve quality standards by communicating goals and identifying resourceful ways to solve problems.
  • Understand and consistently administer collective bargaining agreements and company policies.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as timekeeping and maintain departmental records and reports.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Logistics-related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Available to work flexible shifts, including 4x3 rotation.
  • Intermediate to Advanced English language proficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of MRP, Material Resources, and Microsoft Office.
