Job Purpose
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Finance Operations Manager at Unilever's new factory site in Mexico. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial performance of our operations and providing strategic guidance to our business leaders.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage accounting records and produce financial reports, ensuring accurate and timely information for decision-making.
- Oversee all employees involved in the accounting process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory management.
- Perform month-end closing procedures, including journal entries and corporate schedules, to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Analyze and report variances in purchase price, material usage, labor costs, and factory overhead efficiency.
- Monitor work orders and investigate incomplete or delayed work orders.
- Prepare monthly contribution margin reports and conduct weekly cycle counts.
- Assist with annual budgeted labor and overhead calculations and year-end cost roll preparation.
- Coordinate and authorize reports for government agencies and maintain relationships with local authorities.
- Advise management on changes in fiscal laws and customs regulations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration required; Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
- Advanced conversational English skills, with proficiency in using accounting software, such as SAP.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, preferably in a leadership role, with over 10 years of experience in similar positions.
- Leadership skills, technical accounting expertise, communication skills, and ability to commission, deploy, and monitor effectiveness.
