Job Title: Financial Controller

Vitesco Technologies is a leading international developer and manufacturer of state-of-the-art powertrain technologies for sustainable mobility. We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team in Cuautla, Mexico.

Job Summary:

The Financial Controller will be responsible for providing financial information to support reliable decision-making and implementing effective controls to assure the profitability of the business. This role involves developing, supporting, and rolling out the strategic direction according to the business strategic plan and evaluating the financial impact of strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Controlling:
    1. Develop and implement financial forecasts and trend calculations, including variance analysis to explain gaps.
    2. Participate in month-end closing procedures, providing explanations on main variances.
    3. Implement internal controls for cost management areas, providing cost analysis and budget control.
    4. Track compensation costs and HC, ensuring alignment with budget/forecast levels.
    5. Participate in external and internal audits from Vitesco corporate and KPMG.
    6. Implement standard procedures and corporate guidelines.
    7. Participate in annual stock takings according to local law regulations.
    8. Develop budget proposals aligned to central premises.
  2. Sig-Off Authority and eSR system:
    1. Act as key user for plant Cuautla.
    2. Update and communicate the VT approval flows for various processes at Cuautla.
    3. Create Sign-off authority forms for relevant employees at Cuautla.
    4. Provide training regarding Sign-Off Authority and eSR system.
    5. Maintain Sign-Off Authorizations forms in the eSR System.
  3. Savings Calculation:
    1. Calculate Forecast and Actual Savings for all CBS Projects.
    2. Calculate Monthly Actual Savings for all PL in plant.
    3. Create measures in the Tracker and report actual savings monthly.
    4. Calculate standard tariff and submit it into the electronic system.
    5. Analyze costs to define cost reduction opportunities.
  4. Savings Reporting & Communication:
    1. Report savings status in various meetings and local systems.
    2. Train relevant employees on saving processes and requirements.
  5. TPM & Strategic Projects:
    1. Participate in CIP to implement standards for cost reduction.
    2. Participate in PAM to develop optimization and strategic actions.
    3. Calculate and report Actual maintenance costs for all PL.
  6. House of Rules:
    1. Develop internal controls, tools, and methods for compliant controlling management systems.
    2. Represent the controlling department as Key User.
    3. Ensure clarity and regular review of rollout plans and processes.
Requirements:
  1. T English Process Advanced
  2. T SAP Management (FI-CO, Business Warehouse, NCC) and MS OFFICE Process Advanced
  3. M Savings Methodology, able to perform calculations of savings and train others.
  4. M Sign-Off Authority and external representation & electronic signature request Process Expert
  5. M Continuous Improvement Certifications (Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) Process Advanced
  6. S Trainee trainer / Effective presentations Process Advanced
  7. T Project Financial Valuation Process Advanced
  8. T Quality Management System (NCC Management, IATF, Corporate Compliance) Process Advanced
Experience:
  1. Education / Certification: Bachelor degree (Administrative career), Certified accountant, Business manager, MBA (Optional)
  2. Professional Experience: At least 2 years developing and implementing projects using continuous improvement methodologies.
  3. Project and / or Process Experience: 3 years coordinating projects using Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  4. Previous financial experience is desirable.
  5. Leadership Experience: Experience with leading people (desirable), proactive, critical mindset, analytical, customer satisfaction-oriented.
