At Te Connectivity, we are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker IV to join our Tooling Teams. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for manufacturing metal working dies and tool making, ensuring precision work to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construct, modify, and condition metal working dies to meet specifications
- Fabricate new gages, cutting or forming tools, and fixtures
- Analyze blueprints, sketches, models, and engineering or shop specifications to ensure accuracy
- Recommend revisions in design and/or substitutions in material based on machinability or fabrication problems encountered
- Solve problems relating to unusual materials, machine settings, fabrication methods, and production process
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in tool making and metalworking
- Experience in fabricating tools for molds and stamping dies
- Proficiency in conventional and unconventional machines and tools
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of welding and CNC, Wire EDM, and Electroerosion processes
- Knowledge of hand tool operation and measurement
- Understanding of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards
- Knowledge of environmental and safety procedures
