Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our team at Johnson Controls. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the manufacturing operations of our production lines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products while maintaining excellent customer service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement line schedule plans, considering line rates and preparing attainment reports to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Evaluate and implement EC (Engineering Change) requests, performing impact analysis and documenting objectives to reduce excess and obsolete material generation.
  • Add NPI (New Product Introduction) pilot runs to line schedules, monitoring inventory control vs fill rates, and working closely with the CSR (Customer Service Representative) to ensure all dates and requests are met in a timely manner.
  • Monitor on-time shipments, lead times, and promise dates, striving to maintain results above target levels.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for BE (Business Excellence) customer service email, rush orders, and customers' requests, ensuring prompt resolutions.
  • Capture root cause analysis with the Value Stream Team and develop action plans to improve metrics, including system maintenance jobs and product ID management.
  • Responsible for NMR (Non-Production Material Request) cleanup, prioritizing parts availability and line capacity.
  • Create recovery plans with the Value Stream Team when past-due accumulation or special projects require progress measurement.
  • Participate in Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement and plant metric enhancements.
  • Promote a safe work environment, adhering to company policies and regulations.
  • Key contributor to the customer service and continuous improvement culture.
  • Monitor and maintain low past-due levels by scheduling ahead of due dates and creating action items with the Value Stream Team for root cause analysis.
  • Promote data integrity through proper procedures and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Value Stream Team to develop inventory reduction plans, converting and reworking excess materials to optimize subassembly and FG inventory.
  • Maintain self-learning and problem-solving skills to address emerging challenges.
  • Participate in Risk Assessments and EHS suggestions programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and processes.
  • SAP (Enterprise Resource Planning) key user certification.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with expertise in data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of raw material purchases and procurement processes.
  • Highly developed scheduling skills, with ability to plan based on capacity, bottlenecks, and resource allocation.

Compensation Package

The estimated salary range for this position is between $85,000 and $110,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. The total compensation package includes a comprehensive benefits program, retirement savings plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development within Johnson Controls.
