OverviewThis role involves overseeing projects related to New Product Development (NPD), Product/Cost Improvement, and Product Transfers to achieve defined product and project goals. You will establish process controls for NPD initiatives, ensuring compliance with product specifications, target yields, cost efficiency, and quality standards. Acting as a vital liaison among Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Process teams, you will facilitate the successful introduction of new products into our manufacturing processes.
You will leverage continuous improvement methodologies and Six Sigma principles to enhance product performance.
Additionally, you will develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for both new and existing products.
ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibility of this position is to manage projects within the Industrialization process for Chinaware New Product Development at our manufacturing facilities. You will also support existing products by addressing quality or manufacturing challenges related to design. Collaboration with operations, quality, and process teams is essential throughout these projects.
Your duties will include creating necessary documentation for product handover to operations, defining processes, implementing best practices, and conducting root cause analyses to identify and resolve issues that may hinder product efficiency and performance.
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical, Industrial, Ceramic, Materials, or Mechanical disciplines.
- Proficiency in interpreting control charts and process capability metrics (Cp and Cpk).
- A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Strong understanding of Advanced Statistics, including 8D's, 5 Whys, brainstorming techniques, Pareto charts, and histograms.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with writing Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (PFMEA).
- Six Sigma certification is preferred.
