The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $45,000-$60,000, depending on location and experience.

About the Role:

This is an entry-level position that involves assisting experienced technicians in performing various tasks related to mechanical repairs and maintenance. The successful candidate will have a basic understanding of mechanics, electricity, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior technicians in performing routine maintenance and repairs on railway equipment;
  • Conduct basic diagnostic tests to identify equipment problems;
  • Perform tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting mechanical components;
  • Participate in safety inspections and quality control activities;
  • Learn to operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery;
  • Develop skills in soldering, turning, and other technical areas;
  • Support senior technicians with daily tasks and projects;
  • Familiarize yourself with company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience);
  • Basic knowledge of mechanics, electricity, and safety procedures;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills;
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights;
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.
