About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Analysis Engineer to join our Advanced Structures team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting stress, fracture, and fatigue structural analysis of aerospace components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts stress, fracture, and fatigue structural analysis of aerospace components using conventional hand analysis and computer analysis.
  • Develops and documents structural test efforts to assess structural integrity of metallic and non-metallic aerospace products.
  • Works to design parameters to assess the structural integrity of metallic and non-metallic aerospace component parts.
  • Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of basic scope and complexity.
  • Uses and validates Continuous Improvement tools to solve problems.
  • Expresses problems, issues, and opportunities to peers, supervision, and leadership.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Experience in classical hand analysis methods used in aerospace applications, along with Finite Element Analysis Tools such as NASTRAN & PATRAN or similar software applications.
  • Experience in aircraft structural components static, durability, damage tolerance.
  • Experience in a product development teams with engine/airframe companies highly desired.
  • Strong background in structural analysis related to aircraft.
  • Strong understanding of load paths and various aspects of airframe design using metals and composite materials.
  • MRB engineering experience highly desirable.
  • Strong technical writing and PC skills with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to work closely as a team with other international locations.
  • Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Candidates must have a current travel visa to enter the USA for training and event attendance purposes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Material properties and behavior (Composite & Metallic) or structural testing experience desirable.
