Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Siemens Mobility. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our production lines, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise production tasks assigned according to established quality guidelines and EHS requirements.
- Dedicate tasks as necessary to members of assigned assembly groups or assembly lines.
- Perform troubleshooting activities in case of technological or procedural problems, as the first level of escalation.
- Initiate ad hoc repair measures in cooperation with Maintenance.
- Act as Senior Operator in the group, and lead operators technically.
- Improve safety for all personnel that work in and around production lines.
- Drive efforts and initiatives to reduce production errors, improve product quality, and increase productivity.
- Adhere to production schedule by establishing priorities, assigning personnel to work areas, monitoring progress, making personnel/priority adjustments, resolving line constraint problems, and reporting results through shift production summaries.
- Plan, oversee, and document training of personnel.
- Conduct annual employee performance reviews.
- Work closely with purchasing, planning, and warehouse teams to ensure material availability and schedule adherence.
- Maintain working relationships with local unions by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
- Liaise between Manufacturing and Engineering.
Requirements:
- Experience as a production supervisor.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or related field.
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
- Kaizen Knowledge.
- 6S's Knowledge.
- SAP knowledge.
