Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our team at Cooper Standard Automotive, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing, analyzing, and validating cost expenditures and reduction initiatives within the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review manufacturing process activities: record and validate data; make recommendations about cost-efficient and financially feasible cost options.
  • Primary Responsibilities:
    • Standard cost, calculation and analysis
    • Inventory control (Annual physical inventory and Cycle counts)
    • General accounting
    • Fixed asset and depreciation control
    • Profitability analysis
    • CI/process to drive continuous improvement projects
    • Prepare and complete internal and external audits
    • Experience on (SAP/ERP) system
    • Plant performance leading indicators
    • Burden rates preparations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience; CPA or MBA preferred
  • 3+ years of cost accounting work experience (essential)
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledgeable on statistics
  • Meet key competencies for the job
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite
  • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to understand the manufacturing process
  • Excellent report-writing, communication and IT skills
  • Good understanding of costing principles and systems
