About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud DevOps Senior Engineer to join our team at Danfoss. As a key member of our cloud engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage scalable, automated CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid and reliable deployments.
  • Implement and monitor cloud infrastructure and deployment strategies.
  • Respond to incidents promptly, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure the reliability, efficiency, and security of solutions.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices in cloud environments, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and recommend tools to improve reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide technical consulting support to development teams across the business to improve alignment with overall design principles.
  • Design, deploy, collaborate on, and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC templates.
  • Document processes, systems, and configurations to maintain a robust knowledge base.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance for cloud-based solutions.
  • Work closely with development teams to understand their requirements and integrate new deployment processes and strategies.
  • Manage configuration drift and ensure consistency across environments.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing, DevOps, Platform Engineering, and related areas, and continuously improve processes and workflows.
  • Balance reliability with feature development speed.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in cloud computing, DevOps, and infrastructure as code. You should have experience with cloud security practices and have knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working as a Cloud DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar.
  • Expertise with IaC tools and platforms.
  • Understanding of cloud security practices and experience with security tools integration.
  • Acquired extensive knowledge of cloud services and platforms, including their service-oriented architecture and APIs.
  • Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
  • Passionate about building useful cloud technologies for the organization.
  • An agile mindset and proficiency in agile ways of working.
  • Cloud ecosystems knowledge.
  • Familiar with ITIL framework.
  • Problem-solving attitude and team spirit.
  • A proactive approach to spotting and communicating problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Experience working within a global team and organization.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
