We're seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team at Remote Team Solutions. As an Accountant, you'll play a key role in tracking and reporting on Company and Projects financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Controller with accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, billing, sales tax reporting, etc.
  • Prepare and execute construction contracts and monitor each project's progress from commencement to completion.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Project Executives on all facets of project accounting and administration issues.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financials.
  • Collaborate with the Controller to develop and improve accounting policies and reporting practices.
  • Assist in managing construction-related general ledger accounts, fixed assets, Income Statements, and key Balance Sheet components, including reconciliations, and build appropriate controls, processes, and enhancements.
  • Assist in the administration of a Contractor Controlled Insurance Program (CCIP) and Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP).

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in the industry, with a strong familiarity with US GAAP, internal controls, risk identification, and compliance.
  • Solid technical background with experience working with IT to develop automation.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and explain complex information clearly.
  • Experience using QuickBooks is a plus.
