About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Engine Mechanic to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines in marine vessels.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing quality repairs and maintenance on inboard Marine Diesel Engines, as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose failure of vessels by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as inspections and repairs, to ensure optimal engine performance
- Accurately complete all required paperwork, including repair information and state inspection records
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve complex technical issues
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of experience in diesel repair and maintenance, preferably in a heavy truck or fleet dealership environment
- Strong working knowledge of multiple systems, diagnostics, and troubleshooting techniques
- Proficiency in using Caterpillar ET and SIS software
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
