**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Execution Specialist to join our team at General Motors. As a key member of our production operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of our manufacturing processes, from pre-production to launch.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide pre-production build support and issue resolution, including Bill Of Materials management
  • Represent the production team in Continuous Process Improvement initiatives
  • Initiate, track, and respond to Change Requests and Decision Notices
  • Resolve issues across production lines and assembly plants
  • Support engineering work orders and launch activities
  • Develop and maintain problem resolution tracking systems and prioritize issue resolution
  • Interface with engineering teams to ensure accuracy in pre-production and production specifications
  • Support plant tryout and production trial run activities
  • Maintain Bill Of Material tools and ensure accurate content and approval of changes
  • Develop validation plans and support property management
  • Assist in cost reduction and generate technical solutions for current, new, and major programs
  • Support the development of engineering designs, including subsystems
  • Implement engineering changes and specify system requirements
  • Communicate and coordinate with engineering departments and customers
  • Stay up-to-date with new technology and competitive products

**Additional Responsibilities:**

  • Execution of the BEV3 Battery Capacity Increase Program
  • Input to equipment and system design
  • Collaboration with the operations team on program deliverables
  • Review of PFMEAs, simulation reviews, control plans, and launch deliverables
  • Plant equipment installation, debug, launch, and continuous improvement
  • Providing technical direction to and oversight of outside vendors
  • Project management for the Battery Assembly Project Execution
  • Participation in the SCRUM/Agile process to accomplish daily tasks and meet project deliverables
  • Follow standardized processes as defined in PoME for program execution
  • Participation in launch wall meetings
  • Establishment of equipment installation boards and review with OEM and contractors
  • Support of plant floor equipment installation, tracking, and countermeasures
  • Development and leadership of PPAP review meetings
  • Lessons learned gathering and feedback to the central process team

**Requirements:**

  • Demonstrated analytical ability, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple and complex projects with autonomy and accountability for results
  • Initiative to improve output and help others
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • ME assignments with successful individual achievements or strong team-based achievements
  • Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and cope with change
  • Experience in troubleshooting equipment and knowledge of Team Center and Project

**Education:**

BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Equivalent Experience
