About the Role

As an Environmental Educator at Marriott International, you will be responsible for leading programs that promote environmental awareness and conservation among guests and staff.

About You

You have a strong background in environmental education and conservation, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful programs.

Your excellent communication skills and ability to engage audiences of all ages will enable you to effectively convey complex information and inspire others to take action.

With your experience in program development, management, and evaluation, you will be well-equipped to design and deliver educational experiences that meet the needs of diverse groups.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement educational programs that promote environmental awareness and conservation
  • Lead programs for kids, youth, adults, families, and group activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, underwater photography, botanic park tours, sustainable living lessons, arts & crafts, etc.
  • Explain and promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility intended for the safety and welfare of guests and members
  • Observe activity in the recreational facility and respond appropriately in accordance with local operating procedure in the event of an emergency
  • Be aware of possible situations where guests are not able to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisor/manager
  • Demonstrate knowledge of local and cultural heritage
  • Prepare for each activity, ensuring that the co-naturalist or attendant is also prepared with any necessary materials, and guiding the group at all times

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental education, conservation biology, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in environmental education and conservation programming
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment and perform duties that may require standing, walking, and lifting
