Job Summary

Flextronics - The Flex Company is seeking a highly skilled Test Technician to join our team. As a Test Technician, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving all test and burn-in processes within your area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain process specifications to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Review and update process specifications as required to reflect changes in process requirements and test techniques.
  • Ensure that test and burn-in processes meet all safety specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor quality yields and develop corrective actions to eliminate yield detractors and improve process reliability.
  • Assist with the fabrication and development of new equipment, fixtures, and test programs.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance activities and ensure that scheduled maintenance is completed according to the specified schedule.
  • Assist engineering and development labs with new product introduction and development.
  • Coordinate and monitor FIMPA or product off-load activities for assigned test and burn-in processes.
  • Develop and implement training and certification packages for manufacturing and maintenance personnel.
  • Partner with Industrial Engineering on equipment moves or line re-arrangements.
  • Drive recovery actions and repair of any test or burn-in process that is down.
  • Assist test engineers in developing disaster recovery plans for each test and burn-in process.
  • Follow Engineering test processes and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Typically requires a minimum of an Associate's degree, military technical training, or equivalent experience and training.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrates advanced technical skills and ability to conduct on-the-job training and lead/guide other employees.
  • Highly skilled with ability to move between shifts and product lines.
  • Demonstrates broad knowledge of functional techniques and has input to process improvement.
  • Able to read complicated drawings, mathematics, handbook formulas, and a variety of testing and measuring instruments.
  • Must have an understanding of manufacturing functions and the ability to train others.
Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work that requires repetitive motion. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands:
