We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Geoscientist to join our team at LHR Americas. This is an exceptional opportunity to leverage your expertise in unconventional resource evaluation, ranking, and strategic planning to drive the advancement of exploration and appraisal programs to full-field development projects.

About the Role
  • Manage the unconventional portfolio through technical, risk, resource, and commerciality assessments and strategic plans to support the de-risking of unconventional fields from exploration to development.
  • Collaborate with the Exploration & Characterization Divisions to support planning and execution of wells.
  • Evaluate current practices and identify opportunities for improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics or related sciences; advanced degree is preferred.
  • 15 years of experience, with at least 5-10 years in unconventional plays, including shale or tight gas exploration, development, or strategic planning, across multiple unconventional hydrocarbon basins.
  • A solid background in the play-based approach to evaluate tight sand and shale plays, evaluation of risk, and resource assessment within unconventional.
Benefits
  • Monthly Base Salary: $120,000 (aligned with company employees with similar skills)
  • Monthly Over base: 25% of your monthly base salary ($30,000)
  • Benefits Supplement: 20% of your monthly base salary ($24,000), with increases based on years of service
  • Severance Package: 2 weeks' pay for each year of service (year 2 to 5) or 4 weeks' pay for each year after (year 6+)
  • Employment Tax: if the employee chooses to separate from their 'home country' for income tax purposes
  • Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP): eligible after 12 months of service
  • Incentive Plan: annual; based on performance
  • Travel Allowance: annual; approx. $8,200 per household member over 11 years old
  • Vacation & Paid Holidays: 38 vacation days / 4 travel days / 11-13 paid holidays
  • Medical/Dental Plan: complimentary in-Kingdom medical care/facilities for employees and eligible family members
  • Educational Assistance Plan (EAP): Out of Kingdom Assistance: 90% of expenses with a maximum per child
  • Settling in Allowance: one-time payment; Family Status - 100% of monthly base salary; Single/Bachelor Status - 60% of monthly base salary
