The Procurement / Material Planning candidate will be responsible for acquiring quality materials, supplies and resources in a timely and cost-effective manner. This role will involve coordinating with associated groups and leading the resolution of purchasing problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- P2P (Purchase to Pay) process for relevant MRP controller.
- Ensuring inventory availability to meet forecasted demand and optimize on-time delivery, lead time to customer, and net working capital.
- Segmenting materials through ABC/XYZ analysis, product lifecycle management, and supplier agreements. Defining inventory policies according to this segmentation.
- Collaborating with suppliers and category managers to optimize cost, submit requests for quotation, and drive cost savings projects.
- Maintaining SAP inventory parameters and replenishment strategies such as safety stock, reorder point, lot size, and lead-time.
- Monitoring and controlling the Procure-to-Pay process, including escalation and expediting activities.
- Supporting Sales and Operations Planning process.
- Partnering with critical internal and external suppliers to align forecasting of materials.
- Initiating continuous improvement programs to support planning and fulfillment strategy.
- Supporting Inventory Control and RCCM, which may lead to improved packaging etc by the vendor.
- Improving on-time delivery performance and resolving non-conformance issues with suppliers.
- Analyzing and evaluating bids/pricelists to determine optimal value.
- Supporting supplier negotiations to achieve cost savings targets.
- Executing procurement process for engineers and maintenance personnel.
