">- We are seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various financial tasks, including data entry, journal entries, creating invoices, and preparing quarterly reports.
- The ideal candidate will have excellent mathematical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- This role also involves interacting with vendors and customers via email or phone, verifying timesheets, calculating vacation and sick days, and preparing checks.
- In addition, the Accounting Assistant will assist accounting managers in creating and updating financial reports, including balance sheets, statements of income, statements of retained earnings, and cash flow statements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
">- Bachelor's degree in business or accounting required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Fluent written and spoken technical English.
- Excellent command over payroll functions, including employee compensation, benefits, and deductions, as well as payroll taxes.
- Sharp mathematics knowledge and error-free calculation and fact-checking skills.
- Proficiency with accounting software programs such as QuickBooks.
- Thorough grasp of generally accepted accounting principles for preparing financial statements.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Able to multitask without errors and manage multiple duties on a tight deadline.
