Job Summary:
The Cash & Trade Operations Analyst is an intermediate-level role responsible for ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time in coordination with the Transaction Services team. The overall objective is to research, conduct analyses, and resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create customized transaction services reports based on data analysis and business insights.
- Monitor and research errors to ensure adherence to audit and control policies, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Resolve transaction services issues and use technical expertise/judgment to conduct complex analysis, providing effective solutions to complex problems.
- Anticipate and respond to requests for transaction deliverables from internal and external clients and vendors, demonstrating excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Develop and recommend strategic decisions based on in-depth comprehension of how the Cash & Trade operations team interacts with other business units in accomplishing objectives, driving business growth and improvement.
- Assist with providing informal guidance or on-the-job-training to new team members as required, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in a related role within trade/cash operations management, preferably in a financial institution.
- Effective verbal and written skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
- Effective communication and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Effective relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Expert-level proficiency in Windows, MS Project, and MS Office Suite, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and systems.
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as finance, business administration, or a related field.
This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and relationship management skills, and a strong understanding of cash and trade operations management principles and practices.
