Albéa is a global leader in beauty, personal care, oral care, pharmaceutical, and food packaging. Our site, Albéa Querétaro, specializes in Laminate Tubes for Oral Care, Hair Care, Cosmetics, and Pharmaceutical Markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for process control at designated areas, preparing and executing DOE for improvement projects, and incorporating new processes, machinery, or equipment.
  • Reports to the Project Manager.

Main Activities

  • Create new working instructions for each machine and process.
  • Carry out root cause analysis to detect problems on production lines at Albéa Querétaro.
  • Follow up on actions after root cause analysis.
  • Generate action lists for improvements, root cause analysis, and continuous tracking.
  • Implement and audit 5S routines.
  • Generate parameter center lines for each production line.
  • Ensure production rates and efficiency on each production line.
  • Carry out micro stops analysis for production line improvement.
  • Analyze correlations between process parameters, line efficiency, and product quality to improve processes and prevent defects.
  • Train operators on work instructions to guarantee correct execution.
  • Generate procedures or instructions for standardized operations in tooling changes, adjustments, etc.
  • Define and draw layouts for each process, PT, PP, Scrap, raw material, work tables, and tooling trolleys.
  • Solve irritants detected by operators or technicians.
  • Comply with and motivate adherence to EHS policies, Quality System, Good Manufacturing Practices, and continuous improvement programs at Albéa Querétaro.

Accountability and KPIs

  • Increase REE and decrease Scrap.
  • Develop and implement process improvements, Zero Defects, Gages, Poka Yokes, etc.
  • Zero accidents, lost time, and recordable cases as part of EHS policies.
  • Improve production line efficiency using continuous improvement tools.

Profile (Experience and Qualifications)

  • Preferred: Mechatronic or Industrial Engineer.
  • 2 years of experience in maintenance areas.
  • Yellow or Green Belt preferred.

Knowledge and Technical Skills Required

  • Ability to work under pressure and be results-oriented.
  • Capacity to manage changes.
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Statistical tools.
  • Interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in slim manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • MS Office knowledge.
  • Fluent in both written and oral English is desired.
  • Knowledge of injection molding and mold design/development is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Continuous Improvement is a plus.
