About the Job
We are currently seeking a highly experienced and skilled Plant Operations Manager to lead and manage our manufacturing operations in Mexico.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day plant manufacturing functions, including production, maintenance, planning, engineering, finance, quality, EH&S, security, lean manufacturing, and shop floor continuous improvement efforts.
- Direct the development and implementation of manufacturing and safety standards and goals, supporting the plant and company business plans.
- Ensure production requirements comply with customer quality standards and provide direction and guidance in the development and maintenance of requisite SOPs and work instructions.
- Participate in annual budget, capital, and strategic planning, providing information on manufacturing-related requirements and capabilities.
- Administer direct supervisory responsibility for manufacturing, quality, maintenance, production, warehouse, planning, engineering, finance, EH&S, security, lean manufacturing personnel, including selection, hiring, training, performance evaluations, promotion recommendations, and developing work schedules.
- Introduce new products in the plant during the product/process development and implementation phases, ensuring all program critical tasks are achieved, including timing, cost, and quality expected performance levels.
- Ensure employees are aware of company policies, procedures, and operational changes, encouraging employees to participate in personal and professional growth opportunities.
- Act as liaison between the plant and Sales, assisting business continuity/improvement and ensuring all customer requirements for technical performance and delivery of the product are met.
- Perform the weekly safety audit to detect and reduce unsafe conditions and acts in the workplace.
- Comply with internal regulations, policies, and code of conduct of Human Resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Business English
- 8-10 years of successful experience leading operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience in Materials Management, Production, Quality, Planning, and safety, and working with major vendors required; solid track record of implementing lean manufacturing and other related experience beneficial
- Knowledge of the IATF & ISO 9001 standards
