About the Role

Kiewit Mexico is a leading provider of engineering, procurement, and construction management services. Key Responsibilities
  • Convey and promote the department's vision and culture, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Manage deliverables, initiatives, and projects, communicating progress to the lead and stakeholders.
  • Work on large-scale or multiple small-scale engineering projects without supervision, applying industry standards and best practices.
  • Advise others on the proper application of industry standards, reviewing and ensuring compliance with design requirements, local codes, and regulations.
  • Mentor and direct the work of entry- and mid-level employees, providing guidance and support for skills development and progress review.
  • Lead the technical development of calculations, plans, drawings, and specifications, responsible for providing civil engineering estimates of quantities and materials take-off.
Requirements
  • At least 6 years of experience in grading and roads/paving, geometric design of roadways, and deep knowledge of engineering principles and materials.
  • Experience with site civil design, storm water systems, drainage systems, earthworks, grading, and roads/paving.
  • Proficiency in rainfall-runoff modeling, earthworks flow management, dewatering, and stream diverting.
  • Knowledge of national and design codes (SEMARNAT, CONAGUA, SCT, NOM ́s, RCDF & NTC, AASHTO, etc.).
  • Experience with multiple engineering design software (AutoCad Civil 3D, Bentley Inroads, OpenRoads).
  • Strong people skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Intermediate English proficiency (B2 level).
