Role Purpose
- The Web Production Services team at HSBC is responsible for delivering high-quality digital content to our customers and stakeholders. As a Web Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of digital content, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality and integrity.
- You will be the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing guidance and support on their day-to-day requirements and serving as the first line of escalation. You will also be responsible for managing production initiatives, overseeing delivery of the team, and ensuring that all content is published in accordance with HSBC's quality standards.
- As a Web Production Manager, you will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including IT, marketing, and vendor partners, to identify technical gaps and resolve issues. You will also be responsible for maintaining best practices in producing online content, in accordance with compliance and style guides.
- You will be expected to collaborate with stakeholders to identify business objectives and develop strategies to achieve them. You will also be responsible for managing production metrics and ensuring that all content is delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Guarantee a high-quality of work by reviewing own and team's output, identifying skills gaps, and providing training as needed.
- Ensure delivery of projects according to specification, cost, and timeline by regularly monitoring requirements, planning, and directing production in collaboration with different teams.
- Assigning work to staff, submitting website-related reports, and improving production metrics.
- Develop professional and harmonious relationships with different stakeholders through constant communication aimed at obtaining a clear understanding of the business strategic objectives, supporting planning and execution.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education either at the degree level or a relevant professional qualification.
- Experience in managing and implementing data governance guidelines, procedures, standards, methods, tools, and processes.
- Experience in working with data tools, reference data, data frameworks, and templates.
- Experience in managing a team consisting of different work types/roles.
- Structured, systematic working style.
- Good stakeholder management skills.
- Good understanding of management information and intermediary/advance reporting capabilities.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in an effective manner.
- 7-10 years' experience with client-driven industry possibly in financial services.
- Good client handling skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Maintains composure and professionalism in a fast-paced work atmosphere.
- Flexibility in working different shifts and on weekends when required.
- Proven operations and change leadership experience and the ability to accomplish through others.
- Demonstrated skill to quickly grasp complex processes and concepts and make strategic decisions and recommendations/actions plans across all services provided by the Function.
- Capability to organise and prioritise effectively in order to manage diverse activities globally under tight deadlines and close executive management scrutiny.
Experience
- Technical expertise on web development, content management systems, and other digital publishing platforms and tools.
- Solid knowledge on CSS, HTML, and JavaScript to conduct day-to-day content management activities and oversee the team's delivery and targets.
- Maintaining best practice in producing online content, in accordance with compliance, and style guides.
- Essential understanding on proofreading and editorial content check.
- Structured and systematic working style in managing tasks assigned as a member, lead, and the subject matter expert.
- Restate the fundamentals of website user experience, accessibility standards (WCAG), analytics, and SEO practices to enable process and website metrics improvements.
- Work with support teams in addressing production issues through root-cause analysis, risk, and impact assessment and create mitigating controls.
