Visionary IT Leadership at Baxter

Baxter is revolutionizing kidney care and other vital organ support, and we're seeking a visionary IT leader to join our team. As an IT Systems Owner, you will be responsible for capturing, understanding, and documenting business objectives, specifications, and technical design on small to medium-sized projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and resolve business problems for assigned applications and processes
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and other IT functions on medium and large-sized system improvements
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures to standardize tasks for consistency in operations
  • Work with 3rd party, other IT teams, and/or business partners when issues are found; lead issues to closure
  • Help build, lead, and implement IT Controls, validation and change control, policies, and procedures
  • Put together work plans, track project work. Independently handle own work
  • Serve as product engineer for agile or SDLC based project teams
  • Communicate status, solutions, and concerns. Disseminate information in a timely manner within the team
  • Perform tasks with minimum direction, independently lead complex problems, guide others
  • Ensure that Applications belong to your portfolio are fully documented and led in all Application Inventory Systems (CMDB, Archer, Knowledge Article in Service Now, etc...)
  • Responsible for setting plans and goals for your product and for your teams, constantly communicating and building consensus to meet the established outcomes, with PMs and BRMs
  • Support BRM community in providing demos to Business on applications/platforms belong to your responsibility
  • Define features and continuously make prioritization with the PM to identify the right initiatives to focus on and add to the product roadmap to ensure there is a constant flow of value creation
  • Support EA in analyzing Applications capabilities and drive standardization among applications in your domain portfolio
  • Accountable and sometimes responsible for prototypes, flow diagrams, use case documents, story maps, and mockups to help visualize and describe the feature of the product
  • Identify potential technology options and complete IT cost assessments with support for IT architecture resources as needed
  • Management of stakeholders and their expectations

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering etc.
  • 6+ years of experience in Information Systems, experience in multiple areas of IT, preferably supporting Lifesciences industry
  • Prior experience with commercial products such as customer relationship management, marketing, quoting/contracting and pricing
  • Experience related to Software as Service (SaaS)
  • Experience with ITSM Process; experience with Service Now or Jira is preferred
  • Solid understanding and working experience with Agile approach and culture
  • Understanding the SAFe (Agile at scale) approach is a plus
  • Skills in prototyping and rapid ideation/discovery
  • Ability to work with multiple geographies in a multicultural environment
  • Ability and maturity to lead senior level collaborators globally
  • Experience in working in regulated environments (i.e. privacy/compliance)
  • Experience with Web Services and APIs (Application Programming Interface) such as (SOAP, REST)
  • Working knowledge of lean product principles and strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and IT compliance
  • Foundational project management skills (projects involving internal and external stakeholders) with ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
  • Sense of urgency with strong follow-up skills. Must be detailed oriented and able to work in a matrixed team setting
  • Experience working with vendors and third-party providers on product features, releases, and issue resolution
  • Prior experience or ability to learn technical development architecture and configuration principles
