Job Summary:

This position is responsible for supporting the General Ledger, specifically for month-end closing, account reconciliations, and analysis, and management while requiring intermediate supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and supervise the following functions:
  • Fixed assets and account reconciliations
  • Monthly journal entries (Capital Asset Accruals, Impairment Accruals, etc.)
  • Capital orders, assets under construction, capital budgets, year-end processing, tax depreciations, opening/closing periods, and maintaining attributes on existing accounts
  • Preparation of Mexican Fixed Assets and IFRS 16 Lease Reporting Disclosures
  • Managing monthly IFRS 16 postings and ensuring lease rent expense accounts are reviewed and all expenses reclassified properly
  • Prepare Data Capturing Sheet for IFRS 16 lease
  • Provide and complete Fixed Asset and Lease information required for Mexican Tax Filing
  • Accounting for dual-spend Intra-company projects
  • Year-end processing
  • Annual audit

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of account reconciliations, accounting principles, and procedures
  • 2-5 years of experience in general accounting within a manufacturing or public accounting environment
  • SAP or other ERP experience preferred
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
  • Able to confidently and efficiently correspond to all levels of management
  • Advanced independent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Shows commitment to process improvement
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field required
  • Accounting preferred
