Courier/Swing Driver II

As a Courier/Swing Driver II at FedEx Group, you will be responsible for operating company vehicles and providing courteous, efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. You will also be responsible for checking shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service, providing coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area, and providing related customer service functions.

• Operate non-articulated vehicles safely and efficiently, complying with all governmental and corporate procedures.
• Accomplish accurate and timely selection and inspection of assigned packages and the subsequent reporting of stop counts and miss-sorts.
• Seek additional business from current customers, attempt to gain new business, and inform sales department of significant changes in customer use/competitor's actions.
• Answer customer questions on FedEx feature of service and keep customers informed about the company and its services.
• Determine legality of packages including special requirements for dangerous goods and international shipments and separate packages by service type and destination in accordance with established procedures.
• Scan packages according to prescribed procedures and demonstrate proficiency in features of service and equipment.
• Ensure customers have adequate supply of FedEx materials for shipping.
• Meet aircraft and transport packages as required for sorting operations.
• Load and unload aircraft, containers, and company vehicles and operate mechanized ramp equipment to load and unload packages.
• Clean, wash, and perform minor maintenance to company vehicles as necessary and maintain neat and clean personal appearance to uphold company's public image.

• Minimum Education: High School Degree/Equivalent.
• Minimum Experience: Four (4) years of experience as a Courier.
• Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned and have no preventable accidents during previous two (2) years.
