Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality backend systems using Java, ensuring they meet the required scalability, performance, and security standards.

  • Lead projects and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain fault-tolerant distributed services and backend systems, scaling to support millions of users with high concurrency.
  • Work closely with product teams to understand requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Java, with a strong understanding of Java development principles and best practices.
  • Advanced skills with RDBMS and NoSQL data stores, caching solutions, and messaging/queuing protocols/systems.
  • Experience in architecting and developing fault-tolerant distributed services and backend systems, scaling to support millions of users with high concurrency.
  • DevOps mindset and expertise with building services on public cloud – AWS, GCP, Azure.
  • Proficient (B2: Upper-Intermediate) in both written and spoken English.
