About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecoms Engineer to join our team at McDermott. As a Telecoms Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and coordination of our telecommunications projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and prepare key project deliverables, including specifications, system diagrams, load lists, equipment arrangements, and coordination of installation details.
  • Participate in project reviews, including CCTV model reviews and independent design reviews.
  • Develop and support vendor packages, including creating, issuing, and managing requisition packages for telecommunications contractors.
  • Provide on-site technical support to construction personnel for telecommunications-related systems and equipment.
  • Coordinate and supervise the inspection and factory acceptance testing of telecommunications equipment.
  • Act as the Telecom Lead Engineer, maintaining and promoting a focus on McDermott's end-product throughout engineering, fabrication, or construction.
  • Coordinate all telecommunications activities through the Lead I&C Engineer.
  • Provide telecommunications technical expertise to the Lead I&C Engineer.
  • Maintain close coordination with other discipline engineers and with the Client's engineer.
Requirements
  • Accredited engineering degree may be required by specific regions.
  • English language proficiency (Level B1; B2 desirable).
  • Valid passport and visa.
  • Typically 15 years minimum of telecommunications engineering experience, including 3 years as a senior engineer; experience on offshore projects.
  • Telecommunications engineer with proven project coordination and execution skills in delivery of completed project design deliverables.
  • Experience with the utilization of multiple office project execution (MOPEX).
  • Advanced experience with MS Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
