About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Materials Fulfillment Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls. This role will report directly to the plant Materials Fulfillment Manager and will be responsible for executing standard fulfillment processes and supporting operating cadences to ensure the on-time delivery of purchased material and Clear to Build (CTB) for our manufacturing assembly operations across a dynamic supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver summaries of CTB / material health risks across a specific product line.
- Support Critical Material Reviews (CMR), improving our cross-functional collaboration and tactical problem solving.
- Clearly define standards of material escalation levels that serve as critical inputs to CMR cadences.
- Leverage existing tools / systems (SAP, LeanDNA, PowerBI) to enable better analytics and team efficiency.
- Provide root-cause summaries through data analytics as critical inputs to our material planning & procurement functions to problem solve.
- Influence team culture through positive, high-energy engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 3-5 years of industry / functional experience.
- Functional expertise in material fulfillment and supply chain.
- Demonstrated ability to apply analytical tools / systems to increase efficiency and standard processes.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze supply & demand requirements (LOB) to identify material risk.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with external supply chain and simultaneously drive accountability to improve delivery against need.
- Demonstrated ability to summarize, simplify and communicate complex messages cross-functionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
- APICS Certification preferred.
- Ability to travel ~15%.
