Job Summary

Plant Engineering Supervisor - Maintenance

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Engineering Supervisor to join our team at Kohler Co. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of plant equipment and facilities, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Direction

Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Engineering department, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.

Maintenance and Operations

Oversee the maintenance and operation of plant equipment, including air compressors, boilers, pipelines, water treatment plants, railroads, HVAC equipment, and generators.

Project Management

Develop and execute projects to maintain equipment and facilities, including proposal development, risk assessment, and budget management.

Financial Management

Monitor and manage annual expense budgets for the department, and assist in the development of annual capital plans.

Collaboration and Communication

Partner with the production department to ensure seamless integration of new equipment installations, and work with outside contractors to repair equipment.

Training and Development

Review training and efficiency of department personnel, and establish developmental objectives to enhance skills and performance.

Requirements

Education and Experience

A Bachelor's degree with a technical major, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance and projects in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices is required.

Skills and Qualifications

Effective written and oral communication skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize and schedule work to meet production and maintenance deadlines.
