About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Flex, a Fortune Global 500 company. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating activities involved with procuring direct materials, components, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review requisitions and MRP output to determine procurement needs
- Communicate with vendors to obtain product or service information, including price, availability, and delivery schedule
- Determine the method of procurement, including direct purchase
- Order, reschedule, and cancel material based on requisitions and MRP output
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure price, delivery, and quality expectations are met
- Approve invoices for payment and expedite delivery of goods to users
- Analyze inventory levels and prepare liability reports for excess and obsolete management
- Interface with suppliers and customers to secure delivery and the best market price
- Make tactical buying decisions and execute corporate sourcing programs
- Conduct quarterly supplier reviews and maintain procurement records, reports, and metrics
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Fluent English language skills
- Experience in electronic manufacturing companies
- MRP experience
- CPIM and CPM certifications preferred
- Strong relationship building and management skills
