Job Summary
ZF is seeking an EPS Product Engineer to join our team in Queretaro. As an EPS Product Engineer, you will be responsible for owning assigned projects and ensuring they are completed within the commonly accepted Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) targets. You will also be responsible for translating customer requirements into ZF project management processes and owning the Business Case (BC) for the project.
Main Responsibilities
- Own assigned projects as an entrepreneur with full accountability to plan, track, and manage all necessary actions to stay within QCD targets.
- Know and adhere to ZF project management standards (WCM, PEP) and quality standards (APQP, CQP, VDA 6.3,...).
- Own the BC and take budget accountability for all project expenses, maximizing the project's financial contribution for ZF.
- Contribute to Operations Planning (OP) for the project portfolio and seek alignment with stakeholders, achieving productivity targets and identifying means to fill gaps wherever possible.
- Initiate and own financial recovery plans in case of deviations from OP.
- Meet critical deadlines to get customer reimbursements and proactively identify opportunities for financial claims from customers/suppliers.
- Create and maintain a feasible and cross-functionally aligned project plan to meet QCD targets in accordance with agreed requirements.
- Anticipate and manage project risks, apply appropriate problem-solving methods, and hold project team members accountable for problem resolution within their respective functions.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders' interests.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or a Business/Management degree.
- Above 2 years of experience in Purchasing or Project Management in the Automotive Industry.
- Knowledge of Project Management standards and systems (PLM, Planisware, C-Place).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Project Management Expertise (Project planning, Controlling & Monitoring, Risk Assessment, Change Request Management, Quality Management).
- Entrepreneurial Competencies (Customer orientation, power of decision, dealing with complexity).
- Leadership (Teamwork, Embracing Change and Innovation, Results orientation).
- Social & Interpersonal Competencies (Communication, Building relationships, Conflict Management).
Travel Requirements
30-50% travel required.
