We're seeking a seasoned professional to lead our merchant relationships and drive business growth. As a Strategic Merchant Relationship Lead at American Express, you'll have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in sales, account management, and relationship building to deliver exceptional results.

**Estimated Salary:** $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
**Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and build day-to-day relationships between American Express and a portfolio of key accounts.
- Deepen existing relationships and build new ones to identify new opportunities and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Handle commercial objections and negotiate agreements that maintain or grow Amex profit margins.
- Drive financial goals through increased revenues via a combination of increased Amex business volumes, tight control over discount rates, and strong risk management.
- Identify key customer objectives and translate financial data and other information into strategies that will deliver against these objectives and those of American Express.
- Work closely with servicing teams to ensure the highest quality of servicing is consistently delivered to customers.
**Requirements:
- Proficiency in English communication skills, written and verbal.
- Experience leading and closing sizeable commercial negotiations.
- Outstanding relationship management and influencing skills across internal teams and external customers.
- Good knowledge of the payments industry.
- Strong track record of driving results and innovating through implementation change.
