As a Procurement Specialist at Emerson, you will be responsible for resolving procurement needs of the company, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods and services. You will supervise inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to optimize stock levels and minimize shortages. Additionally, you will develop and implement strategies to improve procurement processes and drive cost savings. Your role will also involve maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information in our systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and execution of procurement activities. Your expertise will be essential in identifying and resolving any supply chain issues to ensure detailed execution of procurement plans. You will need good communication abilities to discuss multiple situations and have daily revisions with suppliers. When required, expediting material is top priority to assure material availability. You will review and maintain accurate material planning parameters which help promote appropriate inventory management and projections. You will also perform weekly MRP analysis and execution to assure accurate material flow to satisfy production needs. Furthermore, you will be involved in continuous improvement projects and implementation of kanban/pull systems to help reduce inventory. You will assure accurate PO maintenance and planning to meet internal and external customer requirements. Deviations and Engineering changes are involved in the existing planning process, and you will need to assure there is control, monitoring, and coordination with other supporting departments E&O involvement to help dispose of obsolete material.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Confirmed experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ambitious and self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sophisticated environment.
- Proficient in both English and Spanish.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge on manufacturing systems such as MRP, BOM's, Pull Systems and Raw Material purchases.
