As a Compliance Auditor, you will play a vital role in the Corporate Audit program within the Latam & Canada region, with opportunities for international assignments. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of Medtronic's products, business models, processes, and operations. Your field experience, industry knowledge, and technical expertise will be utilized to execute various audit and consulting engagements that align with the company's objectives.

A Day in the Life

In this position, you will engage in a range of assignments across the region, including auditing sales offices and countries, evaluating new business models, assessing global and regional processes, conducting post-acquisition audits, and providing advisory support for management on transformational initiatives. You will assist in planning, fieldwork, and reporting activities under the guidance of Senior or Principal team members, and occasionally from the Manager. This role also offers the chance to enhance your data analytics skills to improve audit outcomes.

Key responsibilities may include the following:

Participate in audit projects following departmental standard operating procedures and International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. Collaborate with business units to assess and recommend enhancements to business practices, processes, and control measures. You may also engage in advisory or consultative projects. Foster collaborative relationships with business control owners and management as necessary. Build cooperative relationships with external stakeholders, including external auditors. Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related disciplines). At least 2 years of relevant experience in Audit (e.g., Big4 or similar) or 4+ years in Internal Audit, Accounting, or Finance. Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio). Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles. Strong interpersonal and English communication skills (both verbal and written). Willingness to travel, subject to local and international restrictions. Nice to Have Professional certification in accounting and/or internal control. Familiarity with SAP. Experience with data analytics tools. Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX.
