The role of a Senior Materials Planner involves a thorough analysis of supply plans against actual orders to identify necessary materials for requisitioning through Oracle systems. You will interpret supply plans to accurately predict material needs, ensuring alignment with production and customer demands. Your expertise will be vital in optimizing inventory levels, striking a balance between supply and demand to avoid excess or shortages. Proficiency in Oracle is essential for effectively managing requisition processes and maintaining precise inventory records, directly influencing the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our material procurement and inventory management strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Submit material requisitions based on supply plan data.
- Maintain updated Kanban loops using standard deviation formulas and manage MRP/KB items as required.
- Analyze supply plan material requests and assess data related to material usage and inventory levels to inform decision-making.
- Create ISO/internal orders and oversee delivery processes.
- Manage planning categories (MRP/KB/DSY) and inter-divisional sourcing rules, ensuring parameter maintenance.
- Monitor material holds (quarantine) related to ISO.
- Oversee phase-in and phase-out processes, including engineering changes.
- Manage product introductions, transfers, and engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Drive initiatives for inventory reduction.
- Administer installed rack capacity.
- Foster talent development and leadership within the team.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of material usage, inventory trends, and supply chain performance.
- Proficiency in English.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Expertise in Oracle database systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong background in procurement and supply chain management.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles.
