Production Operator II

At Niagara Bottling, we're seeking a skilled Production Operator II to join our team. This role is responsible for performing a variety of tasks requiring knowledge of production processes and ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Start and stop production equipment as needed, including palletizers, carton makers, and carton sealers.
  • Perform minor adjustments to production equipment as directed, ensuring all work is approved prior to commencement.
  • Accurately complete and update information forms and logs, including Machine Report, Quality Report, Downtime Report, and Carton Top Load Report.
  • Recognize and report unsafe conditions and actions, adhering to plant safety rules and safe lifting practices.
  • Maintain general housekeeping in all production areas, including break rooms and rest rooms, and ensure adequate supplies of raw materials.
  • Ensure quality requirements are met in accordance with company standards, accurately filling out hourly inspection sheets and reporting quality defects immediately.
  • Work in multiple areas of production with minimal supervision, performing relief duties as required and collaborating with the maintenance team to troubleshoot minor production equipment issues.
  • Understand computer systems, including Oracle/MES or current order management systems, and comprehend line flow and manufacturing processes to maximize throughput.
  • Communicate issues clearly and concisely, with regular and predictable attendance being an essential function of the job.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating multiple manufacturing machines.
  • Preferred qualifications include 4 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment and experience managing people/projects.

Education:

  • Minimum required: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree.
