Quality Assurance Manager

The Quality Assurance Manager is accountable for ensuring that all Quality Engineering deliverables, including Quality Objectives, Measurement System Analysis, Control Plans, Part Inspections, Capability Studies, and Customer Production Part Approval Process, are completed punctually and with the necessary detail.
- Oversee and report on incoming quality metrics for Production and Service, implementing corrective measures based on performance scores.
- Possess a solid understanding of customer-specific quality requirements.
- Cultivate essential relationships with customers in the Supplier Quality domain to facilitate successful project launches.
- Foster critical internal collaborations aimed at eliminating obstacles and resolving issues to ensure effective project execution.
- Develop budgets and staffing plans for Quality Engineering resources, participate in recruitment processes, and onboard new team members as needed.
- Engage in the quoting process to guarantee that appropriate quality resources and objectives are integrated before business awards are granted.
- Actively contribute to Program Reviews and Phase Exit Reviews, preparing monthly evaluations of all Quality Engineering deliverables for the assigned programs.
- Address risks with necessary corrective actions for any deliverables flagged with 'yellow' or 'red' status.
- Implement Advanced Quality Planning, demonstrating familiarity with AIAG standards, including Control Plans, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Production Part Approval Process, dimensional layouts, gage/fixture design, and performance/material testing.
- Utilize advanced statistical methods, design of experiments, and problem-solving techniques.
- Qualified as a lead auditor for the Business Operating System.
- Actively engage in Health, Safety, and Environmental investigations and the 8D process to develop root cause analyses for problem resolution as necessary.
- Ensure that all required Safety Audits are conducted for both yourself and your team.
- Report incidents, occupational illnesses, and HSE&E emergencies, and notify supervisors of any known HSE&E conditions that could negatively impact team members, assets, or the public.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and maintain safe working practices in designated production areas.
- EMS Compliance: Follow and promote adherence to the environmental management system and commitment to resource conservation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Documentation of injury reports and completion of necessary statements.
- Participation in the Accident Investigation team.
- Conduct safety audits on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and timely completion of safety audits.
- Complete safety-related work orders.
- Engage in safety communications during weekly/monthly events, including plant-wide meetings, pre-shift meetings, departmental meetings, and training sessions.
