We are seeking an experienced Senior Electronic Control Unit Production Lead to oversee and optimize the ECU production process at Continental.
About the Role
The successful candidate will lead a team of local technicians, ensuring optimal support for ECU production operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic leadership to a team of local technicians, ensuring they are equipped to handle complex technical challenges in ECU production.
- Overseeing the implementation and integration of new Surface Mount Device (SMD), Through-hole (TH), and Back-end (BE) machines into existing production lines.
- Developing and refining specialized software and programs essential for launching new products while meeting customer quality requirements, minimizing costs, and maximizing manufacturability.
- Establishing and maintaining rigorous process specifications to ensure consistent product quality and operational efficiency.
- Implementing continuous performance improvement initiatives and cost reduction strategies within the area of responsibility, driving operational excellence and competitiveness.
- Collaborating with cross-functional and cross-site teams to address complex technical challenges and implement innovative solutions in ECU SMT production processes.
- Ensuring strict adherence to automotive industry standards and quality control measures throughout all stages of production in the area of responsibility.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in the Automotive Industry, including 3+ years in ECU production and launching ECU lines.
- 3+ years of experience in Automotive Quality Standards, Process & Maintenance Engineering.
- Proven experience troubleshooting SMT (FUJI Technology) Lines with CT.
Salary Information
The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
