Belcan is in search of a Senior Consultant - Strategic Operations Leader to collaborate with our clients across Mexico.

As a contracted consultant through Belcan, you will engage with our clients and/or suppliers as required to facilitate projects focused on strategic manufacturing and supply chain management.

Ideal candidates will possess robust leadership and supervisory capabilities in manufacturing and supply chain, adept at delivering measurable solutions and results for clients.

This role involves working directly at client sites and/or supplier locations to evaluate, mitigate, consult, identify, and implement outcomes.

Strong communication skills across all organizational levels are essential and expected.

As critical project challenges and improvement needs arise, this role will respond to those clients.

Successful candidates will have extensive experience in manufacturing and supply chain, capable of both reporting and devising measurable solutions and results for clients.

This position necessitates the ability to proactively lead through problem-solving to demonstrate value creation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and expertise in planning, organizing, coordinating, and optimizing daily operations to surpass client expectations.
  • Manage the effective use of equipment, facilities, and personnel to achieve maximum efficiency and meet performance targets.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of business and management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of personnel and resources.
  • Enhance production capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality.
  • Oversee production output, product quality, and timely delivery.
  • Allocate resources efficiently and fully utilize assets to achieve optimal results.
  • Implement strategies aligned with strategic initiatives and provide clear direction and focus across the organization.
  • Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure all internal systems are accurate and compliant with company policies, standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Manage significant manufacturing projects, schedule facility assignments, and establish priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to proactively develop product and service solutions.
  • Prepare budgets for approval, including those for funding and implementation of programs.
  • Analyze technology, resource requirements, and market demand to plan and evaluate project feasibility.

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional Degree
  • Bilingual proficiency (fluent in English and Spanish)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of product and production processes.
  • Experience with increasing responsibility in areas such as manufacturing facility management, supply chain, production, plant management, and operations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all key stakeholders, managers, and experts at various levels.
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and in a project management context.
  • Capability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Previous experience implementing and utilizing continuous improvement/lean tools such as Six Sigma, 5S, Lean Manufacturing.
  • Background in roles such as Top Consultant, Production Manager, Plant Manager, Vice President, Strategic Subject Matter Expert, Operations Leader, Quality Manager, Materials Manager, etc.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Willingness to travel internationally (primarily to the USA)
