Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Optimization Specialist to join our team at Emerson. As a key member of our manufacturing organization, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing activities related to the design and optimization of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the manufacturing team to meet safety, sales, productivity, and cost targets
  • Define and implement improvement projects for the valve area
  • Analyze problems, propose solutions, and provide written instructions for process deviations or modifications
  • Ensure compliance with quality management system procedures and EHS department standards
  • Develop improvement projects to enhance process efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs
  • Hold information meetings on department status, projects, and future plans
Requirements
  • Proven experience in manual and automated manufacturing processes
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes of problems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Strong problem-solving capability and ability to work on multiple projects in parallel
  • Interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal skills to facilitate effective communication of technical ideas
  • Management of priorities based on verifiable data and customer-focused approach
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement Projects (Kaizen)
  • High experience in the use of problem-solving tools (Pareto analysis, 5 Why's, 6 Sigma, A3s)
  • Proven experience in calibration of control valve instrumentation
  • Knowledge of the requirements and foundations of the ISO 9000:2015 certification
  • Basic knowledge of Safety, Ergonomics, and accident prevention concepts
