About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Specialist to join our team at Hewlett Packard. As a key member of our supply chain function, you will be responsible for leading a broad range of complex processes, including inventory analysis and planning, demand planning, import/export operations, and sales and operations planning (SOP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Leadership: Lead a broad range of complex supply chain processes, such as inventory analysis and planning, demand planning, import/export operations, and sales and operations planning (SOP).
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead/develop recommendations and provide insight for management.
  • Demand and Supply Matching: Independently execute complex demand and supply matching activities, connecting planning to execution, and identifying issues and their impact.
  • Backlog Prioritization: Work cross-functionally to prioritize backlog.
  • Demand Signal Generation: Partner with global business units and supply bases to generate and deliver demand signals.
  • Business Process Maintenance: Lead cross-functional regional and global business unit planning teams to maintain and enhance the current business processes.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and review performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement actions to address.
  • Project Contributions: Contribute to priority projects by adding creative insights and developing recommendations.
  • Communication and Guidance: Communicate requirements and guidelines to the regional and global business unit planning teams.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior-level staff and establish guidelines for the mentorship programs.
  • Regulatory Trade Compliance: Lead and manage a Regulatory Trade Compliance program.

Requirements

  • Education: First level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.
  • Experience: Typically 6-10 years of experience in a supply chain function.
  • Supply Chain Function Experience: Experience in more than one supply chain function.
  • Broker's License and/or Customs/Global Trade Experience: Broker's license and/or 6-10 years of experience in a customs/global trade function.

  • Supply Chain Processes: Excellent understanding of supply chain processes (plan, source, make deliver).
  • Analytical Tools and Methods: Identifies cutting edge analytical tools, models and methods for making key business decisions.
  • Communication and Influencing Skills: Excellent communication and influencing skills; mastery in English and local language.
  • Relationship Management: Excellent internal and external relationship management skills.
  • Business Acumen and Technical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge and understanding of how to analyze business problems using Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), statistical analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Project Management: Very Strong project management skills, with capability to manage cross functional teams in multiple geographies.
  • Business Acumen and Technical Knowledge: Strong business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.
  • Supply Chain Strategy: Very strong understanding of HP's overall supply chain strategy.
  • Inventory Management: Excellent understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), ATP and master scheduling.
  • Trade Requirements: Excellent understanding of national and international trade requirements to align customs/trade function with business objectives.
  • Inventory Modeling and Analysis: Thorough knowledge of inventory modeling and analysis.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills including team-building and conflict resolution and management.
  • Trade Compliance Program: Excellent understanding in developing and managing a trade compliance program.
