Job Description

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead one of the machine learning teams for Etsy Ads, our onsite ad platform. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to develop and maintain machine learning models that drive business growth and improve user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models that improve ad relevance and user engagement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and sales, to understand business requirements and develop technical solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical architecture and infrastructure to support machine learning workloads
  • Work with data scientists to develop and deploy machine learning models that drive business growth and improve user experience
  • Ensure that machine learning models are fair, transparent, and compliant with regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, with a focus on leading teams and developing technical architecture
  • Strong technical background in machine learning, with expertise in deep learning and natural language processing
  • Experience working with large-scale data sets and developing scalable machine learning models
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop creative solutions
