**Logistics Manager Role**

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Manager to oversee the planning, supply, storage, and distribution of materials, components, and products. This role involves ensuring compliance with legal requirements, certifications, and government programs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for guaranteeing robust production processes in the logistics center, enabling the shipment of finished products to consumers with the required quality and economic benefit. This will be achieved through the development of improvement strategies and informed decision-making, leveraging reliable and timely information.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Warehouse operation: Oversee warehouse operations, including layout planning, storage, and inventory organization. Implement best practices for picking, packing, and shipping to maximize efficiency and minimize errors.
  • Transportation Management: Arrange transportation for goods, negotiate with carriers, and choose the most cost-effective and efficient transportation modes. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers or distribution centers.
  • Inventory control:
  • Inventory Accuracy Assurance: Establish robust procedures for maintaining accurate inventory records and quantities. Regularly review and reconcile recorded inventory levels with physical counts.
  • FIFO Implementation: Lead the implementation of strict FIFO principles across all inventory management activities. Develop and oversee processes to ensure that products are issued and shipped based on the oldest stock available.
  • Performance measurement: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate the performance of the logistics operations. Analyze data and reports to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions.
  • Cost Management: Manage logistics budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings. Implement strategies to reduce transportation costs, optimize routes, and minimize waste.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions. Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards in transportation and warehousing.
  • Team management: Lead and manage a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative and efficient team environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously review and enhance logistics processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Implement new technologies and automation to streamline operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and procurement, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
