Key Responsibilities:

* Negotiate and establish commodity prices for production parts
* Handle assigned commodities
* Ensure cost control in accordance with the Nissan revival plan cost reduction goals and requirements
* Locate suppliers and develop their abilities to meet current and future production parts requirements
* Ensure suppliers meet Nissan's goals for quality, cost, and delivery
* Perform comparative analysis of competing suppliers to select the most competitive source for a specified commodity
* Establish contracts for assigned commodities; maintain purchase orders, and related purchasing records; maintain files and records of current and potential suppliers, materials, and prices
* Coordinate activities between all departments and supplier base to ensure uninterrupted supply of parts and resolution of supply issues and problems

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
* Five or more years of related experience at a professional level
* Two or more years providing on-the-job training to new employees, but had no other formal supervisory responsibilities
* Commercial and legal regulations knowledge
* Project/program management
* Language: English (Business fluent)
* Computer skills: Good communication and presentation skills-both verbal and written; interpersonal; negotiation and cost and manufacturing process analysis skills

Travel: Occasional day or overnight travel.
