Ingredion is a leading provider of ingredient solutions that helps nourish, comfort, sustain, and delight people around the world. We are seeking a Financial Analyst - Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Guadalajara, Mexico.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical individual to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Financial Analyst - Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for executing cost accounting transactions for the US/CAN business, ensuring transactions are accurate and properly stated. Your main focus will be on inventory reconciliations, reviewing daily adjustments, and preparing monthly external location inventory reconciliations.
You will also investigate, clarify, and correct differences found in reconciliation processes, communicate with external and internal parties, prepare account reconciliations in a timely manner, book journal entries as required, and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with applicable standards.
Responsibilities- Review daily inventory adjustments and prepare monthly external location inventory reconciliations.
- Investigate, clarify, and correct differences found in reconciliation processes, communicating with external and internal parties.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations in a timely manner to ensure internal control policies are being followed.
- Book journal entries as required and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with applicable standards.
- Assist in physical inventory audits at external inventory locations if necessary.
- Identify, initiate, and develop system changes with information technology to improve the availability of financial information, minimizing disruption during implementation and creating efficiencies.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 0 to 4 years of significant experience in financial analysis, reporting, accounting or auditing within manufacturing entities in a multinational environment and public companies.
- Advanced English language skills required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related fields such as Business Administration or Finance.
- Proven advanced proficiency in the use of MS Excel (Macros is a must, and high database analysis and manipulation skills) and other MS Office Suite Software Programs.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment, with knowledge of cost accounting structures and inventory reconciliations.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to various levels within the organization as well as to external customers and vendors.
We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
