Job Description

Job Title: US Payroll Customer Support

Location: Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico

Job Type: Full-time

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery and accounting of salaries, wages, commissions, and incentive payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform moderately-complex payroll calculations and/or parts of the general payroll process for a complex country or set of countries, exercising a good understanding of the payroll framework, systems, and government regulations impacting payroll calculation.

  2. Contribute to projects that impact payroll and/or time solutions at the country level in coordination with key stakeholders such as HR, Controllership & IT teams, and may lead projects of low to moderate complexity.

  3. Consult with payroll leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement and policy development within and out of payroll, engaging in the design and implementation.

  4. Develop healthy business relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors, driving issue resolution to achieve desired results.

  5. Resolve complex payroll or time & absence support cases and effectively manage and follow up on escalations; may handle day-to-day employee & business partner queries.

  6. Maintain employee and company records related to payroll and time processes.

  7. Share knowledge in a natural way with other team members and contribute to a knowledge management culture by maintaining clear process documentation.

  8. Develop a deeper understanding of HP's payroll and time processes and working knowledge of the business.

Requirements:

  • Good Business Application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel).

  • Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.

  • Appetite for digital transformation and ready to develop new digital skills to help automate processes.

  • Good work organization and ability to work with deadlines.

Impact and Scope: Directly impacts timeliness and accuracy of payroll for the country supported. Supports payroll operation management and project team. Advises various internal partners and employees on the needs and requirements of target markets.

Complexity: Low to moderate: Some senior management interface; frequent cross-functional/cross-organizational interaction on the execution of tactics.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant area or demonstrated competence. Typically 2-4 years of experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Shift: No shift premium (Mexico)

Travel: Relocation
