Position Overview:
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer focusing on Battery Assembly, you will play a pivotal role in the advancement of state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies for electric propulsion systems. This position requires a strong command of English (C1 level or higher) and the legal right to work in Mexico, with a willingness to relocate to the UK after an initial period.
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and implement assembly and in-process testing methodologies to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Develop and manage installation schedules in collaboration with key suppliers.
- Ensure comprehensive process planning, including build simulations and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
- Validate assembly processes and equipment at supplier and manufacturing sites.
- Address technical challenges and escalate issues as necessary.
- Meet equipment capability and availability benchmarks.
- Assist in resolving technical challenges as required.
- Formulate and document all manufacturing processes, including tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in manufacturing and engineering processes, tools, and techniques with a practical approach.
- Background in facility installation, project management, capability validation, commissioning, and product launches.
- Ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams and adapt to projects from conception to execution.
- Proficiency in CAD software for reviewing engineering drawings and models (e.g., Catia V6 & Teamcentre).
- Knowledge of safe automated and manual manufacturing systems.
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting technical and manufacturing challenges.

- Familiarity with process creation systems.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
