Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our team as a Java Software Engineer (BackEnd). This role involves developing and maintaining high-quality backend services for our applications using microservice architecture principles.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot, with experience working in a microservice environment and using Kubernetes and Docker. Additionally, they will be familiar with AWS Data Stores, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Backend Services: Create scalable and efficient backend services using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
  • Microservice Architecture: Design and implement microservices using principles such as service discovery, load balancing, and circuit breaking.
  • Kubernetes and Docker: Work with Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers to deploy and manage backend services.
  • AWS Data Stores: Design and implement data stores using AWS services such as RDS, Elastic Cache, MQ, and S3.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions.
  • Agile Methodologies: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience working in backend software development roles.
  • Java and Spring: Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
  • Microservice Environment: Experience working in a microservice environment.
  • Kubernetes and Docker: Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • AWS Data Stores: Experience working with AWS Data Stores.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working with Agile methodologies.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

Location: Chicago, IL.
